Console Sneakers

Months after the initial release it is still nearly impossible to secure any of the next-gen gaming consoles. Do not fear, we found the next best thing... Sneakers!

Past and Present of Playstation Sneakers

Playstation has been well represented within the fashion industry through some pretty unique collaborations. One of the best received Playstation sneakers was the famous AF1s that the late, great Kobe Bryant had. A vibrant shoe that Bryant loved as did sneakerheads everywhere, resell prices are a great indication that Nike knocked it out of the park.

The details with this particular pair that was released in 2009 are stunning and that Playstation nostalgic with it was never recreated with the pairs that followed. Maybe this was due to the lack of details on the more recent pairs, or maybe they were judged against a 2009 pair that was impossible to build on. Either way, we will let you be the judge of that with detailed images below!

Past and Present of Xbox Sneakers

Unlike Playstation who has seemed to only work with Nike, Xbox has released pairs with both of the juggernaut brands. Admittedly not our favorite, the Adidas collaboration is on a Forum Mid which represented the beloved Xbox 360. A basic all-white sneaker detailed with the patent Xbox green for the sole, this drop is rather plain, to say the least. The best detail is certainly the Xbox logo on the side of the shoe. Quite a subtle flex for any Xbox fan.

From the Swoosh brand, Xbox released a Jordan 1 Mid in celebration of the great E3 event in 2018. Although this is a Mid, and it seems almost illegal to sport anything other than a Jordan 1 High, these are quite dope! The Xbox green makes up the entirety of the sneaker and instead of the typical leather, it's actually a very soft suede. It seems Microsoft loves to keep things subtle as the only telling sign that this is an Xbox collaboration is through the lace tips and insole. Our favorite detail is that the sole actually glows in the dark. It literally looks like you powered your sneaker on, and that may be why these resell for absolutely moon prices!

What brand would you rep?
