We have seen this before and even wrote an article about it when Warren Lotas was under fire for dunk look-alikes that were marketed as \"customs\".&nbsp;</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712810660832215171/939703015395430490/nike.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"603\" height=\"362\" /></p>\n<p>This time Nike lawyers have made their presence known to the resell marketplace giant known as StockX. Nike sued StockX in New York federal court on Thursday for selling unauthorized images of their shoes through NFTS. If you recall, we recently made an article about these NFTS or non-fungible tokens since we never saw a sneaker (resell) marketplace take it to that high of a platform.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712810660832215171/939703163630522368/chunky-dunky-vault-nft.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"710\" height=\"473\" /></p>\n<p>The idea StockX presented was that you could literally purchase an NFT of the shoe for an insane price point of $1,000+, where you could one day trade that in for the actual shoe (which was worth far less) or re-list your NFT for sale. If you are unfamiliar with StockX, the online site once started as a sneakers-only marketplace where buyers and (re)sellers could meet to guarantee only authentic products. A common ground for selling/buying where a company would actually authenticate the product in question for you. We would soon see sites like eBay follow suit with this idea, however,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/stockx\"> StockX </a>was the first platform to offer the unique service.</p>\n<p>They soon would expand to toys, trading cards, and consoles/electronics further profiting from what's \"hot\" at the time. Taking the momentum of the hype waves and sailing on them seems to be a common theme in their ventures. They profit heavily from their seller fees and penalties that they capitalize on. With that in mind, one cannot hate the fact they added NFTs. Regardless of how you feel about the company, they're smart. Do not be surprised to see them continue to expand their site as hype stretches to other physical goods (or digital ones).&nbsp;</p>\n<h2>Non-Fungible Token</h2>\n<p>StockX is certainly putting some promises out there that may have many jumping at securing their NFTs. Some of the price tags (Asks) are extremely high already making the market (somewhat) unaffordable. You can also instantly buy and sell them on <a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/stockx\">StockX</a>. If the physical item intrigues you more than the NFT does, you can also trade it in for that pair of sneakers exclusively from the StockX vault. We deep dive into some of the (already) most sought-after releases of the new year.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712810660832215171/926894926615158784/https3A2F2Fspecials-images.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"543\" height=\"260\" /></p>\n<h2>Jordan 4 \"Red Thunder\"</h2>\n<p>Kicking things off with an absolute bang, the Jordan brand is set to release a 4's colorway that almost looks like it could pass as an \"OG\" colorway. Coined \"Red Thunder\", expect a late January release on or around the 15th. black and red colors seem to always be a fan favorite, and this release should have people backing out their money once again. What appears to be a suede-like material that sort of resembles the <a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/uniblue4\">University Blue colorway</a> from last year, Jordan Brand is definitely taking advantage of the popular Jordan 4 silhouette. Although we are no longer blessed with his presence, the Off White x Nike collection seems to be far from over with yet another solid release upon us. This release is an extremely unique Blazer that looks undoubtedly futuristic and will for sure sell out instantly. Nike will soon reveal the Off White x Nike Blazer Low. There is not much information to go alongside this shoe, however, we will note the simple black/green hints make it more appealing to us personally. We also get a small reminder of the Sacai franchise due to the extended sole. The only semi-unappealing part of this release is the swiss cheese holes throughout it. Leaves us wondering just how cold our feet might get. Literally, almost any release Nike/Jordan does that wears the \"Court Purple\" colorway seems to do very well. Matter of fact, expect this release to sell out and reach the $200 level on the aftermarket. Unsure if everyone is a Vikings fan or just a fan of the color purple, but whatever the reason is.. please do not sleep! This Jordan 1 colorway is quite unique but the story behind it makes it so much better. The colorway Jordan Brand used here is actually inspired by Michael Jordan's fraternity in College. It was in 1987 when Jordan joined Omega Psi Phi, and who knew decades later the sneaker brand honcho would pay respects in the most beautiful of ways. This will definitely be one of those shoes you either love or hate, but the story behind it makes it a must for any sneakerhead out there. Look at releases such as their Jordan 4 editions (<a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/moss\">Desert Moss</a> / <a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/offnoir\">Off Noir</a> / <a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/guava\">Guava Ice</a> / <a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/uniontaupehaze\">Taupe Haze</a>), or the Jordan 1s (<a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/unionblacktoe\">Black Toe</a> / <a href=\"https://snkrskr.io/unionbluetoe\">Blue Toe</a>) which go for a super hefty fine on the aftermarket. Our point here is Union products are extremely sought after when it has a checkmark on them, and this upcoming pair will be no different. There are very few real pairs out there right now as it is still quite early. However, the <a href=\"https://www.goodchefs.io/\">Good Chefs</a> are one of the few who were able to secure a bunch for their group!
